Jolly Jumper

Today at the Early Years Centre the Infant Care Ladies put me in an exersaucer and I loved it! Mom and Dad decided to pull out the Jolly Jumper to see how I would do. I thought it was great! It didn’t take me too long to figure it out. I managed to get some air a couple of times and I especially liked turning around to see all around me. As you can see, Dad thinks it is a pretty handy way to carry me around as well.  You might also notice that, of course, I have already managed to puke on my Jolly Jumper.  (within the first 5 minutes)

Puppy Doggie

The other day we went for a walk with our friends Ryan and Jeff and their puppy doggie Sam.  We went back to their house after to hang out in the back yard.  I was sitting in my car seat on the deck and I guess it caught Sam a little off guard because he came up to me and barked right at me!  I was very surprised so I jumped a bit but then I started laughing really hard!  That made Sam bark again and I laughed even more! This went on for a while.  Everyone thought it was so funny because each time I jumped a little but at the same time I thought it was hilarious!

Some pictures

Gammie made me another Baby Captain Cam costume that looks so much like Dad’s! I love it.  Today I put it on and we did some filming and took some pictures. I love looking like Dad.

A couple of days ago I was playing in my tent and I was so tired that I fell right asleep. Mom wanted me to make sure I told everyone that this is not a normal occurrence at all but was cute nonetheless. I normally need help to fall asleep.

I really like books.  The book I am holding in this picture is from Kindermusik. It is nice a light and easy for me to hold and read on my own.

Bumbo

Every once and a while Mom and Dad sit me in my Bumbo seat to see if I can support myself enough to stay in it. Today I did a really good job! I was able to support my head and back enough to stay in it without getting frustrated or too tired. It was fun to sit up straight like that and see the world. The Bumbo will help me develop strong sitting muscles so before you know it I will be able to sit up on my own!

One cool dude

Uncle Ryan asked so nicely in his comments to add another post so I asked Mom to take some pictures of me on this beautiful sunny day to show how much of a cool dude I am.  You will notice in these pictures that not only am I wearing Baby Bandz (the sunglasses for children 0-2 years of age) to protect my eyes from those terrible UVB and UVA rays but I am also wearing a T-shirt that speaks the truth.  Uncle Ryan and Uncle Jeff gave it to me. It says “My entire life is being blogged”.I am also posting a picture that shows how well I can hold onto things and bring them to my mouth!

Like Father Like Son

Today there was a BBQ at the hospital to celebrate Midwives Day. We got to see Allison our midwife again and Daddy was doing a bunch of magic tricks and entertaining the kids as Captain Cam. I decided to wear my Baby Captain Cam costume so everyone would know that he was my Daddy. How cool is that?! I have also posted a picture of me on my side. I did it all by myself!

92nd percentile

Yesterday I had my 3 month checkup. I like Dr. Robinson so I am a really good boy when I am there. Aunt Leila came with us because Mom had a checkup too. She is a great Aunt. I weighed in at 15 lbs 10 oz and 27 inches. That puts me around the 92nd percentile for size. Mom has been worried about how much I spit up so she made sure to ask the doctor about it. Apparently it is pretty common and as long as I am growing there is no need to worry, I will grow out of it. What Mom does not realize is that I am doing her a favour. With all of the laundry she is doing she gets closer and closer to our machine wearing out and then we can get a front loader machine! I have posted two pictures of me with one of my very important bibs. During this picture I still managed to spit up on the couch and Mom’s leg! Oops.

3 Month Birthday

Today I am 3 months old. I have come a long way in 3 months! I can smile, I have started to grab onto things now, I have gained lots of weight, my neck is much stronger and I look around at things everywhere I go. Tomorrow I am going to the doctor to find out how much I weigh. My Mom thinks I could be close to 16 lbs.
