All I want for Thanksgiving…
is my two front teeth! They have finally popped through. The teeth on either side are working on it as well. That means I might have a total of 6 teeth for Thanksgiving. Do you think Mom and Dad will give me some Turkey?
I have recently discovered the magical world of the Vacuum cleaner. I find it incredibly fascinating. One day when I was particularly fussy during Mom & Dad’s dinner, they leaned the vacuum hose up against my exercauser. It kept me occupied forever! I am pulling myself around now (not the traditional crawl stance but just as effective) and one day I was way at the one end of my parents bedroom and I spotted the vaccum in the hallway. I made a quick get away so I could play with it. It was a great motivator.
Mom took this because she thinks I am super cute when I am sleeping. Do you think it is an insult that she enjoys my nap time?!
Here is another picture of me and Dad having a super time.

My buddy
Simon is my buddy. I can see a lot of fun wrestling and playing in the future for us I’ll tell ya. He came to visit yesterday on his way to see his grandparents in London. Here are some pictures of our tomfoolery.

My Dad
I think my Dad is so super cool. I wanted to post a couple of pictures of us having great times together.
Some exciting news! I have a new 2nd cousin who was born September 17th. Another big baby inĀ the family weighing in at 9 lbs. 8.5 oz! Her name is Isabel Sylvia Penfound. Her Mom and Dad are Mom’s cousins Kerry and Persis.
Also, two of my top teeth (one of the middle ones and one beside it) finally broke through my gums this week! I am still drooling like crazy so there must be more to come.

My first injury
Today I experienced my first injury. I was sitting up in front of my change table and, like I often do, I was leaning forward to reach for something. I am not the best judge of distance yet and sometimes I reach for things that are just too far away. It makes me lean forward really far and I topple forward. Often Mommy or Daddy catch me or I land on something soft. This time, however, I landed on the edge of a shelf and cut my forehead. The first picture is an example of me toppling forward another day and the second picture is my very first injury.

Moving Around
A lot of big things have been happening in the last few weeks. First of all, I have been ‘Ferberized’. For those that do not know what that means, it is simply a sleep training method written by Dr. Ferber which involves ‘crying it out’ for longer periods of time, teaching me to learn how to fall asleep on my own. I was really relying on the soother to help me back to sleep so they took that away too! It has been going really well. I can fall asleep on my own now and most of the time only wake up to be fed at midnight. I think Mom is going to cut that out soon too. Oh no! I am still insisting on waking up at 5 though so we will see how they deal with that
I have been chatting and eating up a storm. I tried Cheerios for the first time yesterday but I have a hard time grabbing onto them. I have not developed the pincer grasp to help me with that yet.
I am trying to crawl so badly! I can really push and pull myself forward all around the room and I am lifting my bum up in the air trying to coordinate my legs. It is just a matter of time now!
