Standing, bathing and meeting Santa
It has been a busy and exciting couple of weeks; a mixed gamut of experiences. Mom & I started going to Gymboree. It is a big room with jungle gym equipment, padded slides and all sorts of fun things specifically for kids aged 0-7 years. The class I was in was the 10-12 month old class. We practiced walking with support, going on the slide by ourselves and exploring in general. It was a lot of fun. I am now able to stand on my own without support for a few seconds. This first picture is me at a playgroup when I was standing on my own for almost 1 whole minute!
Last weekend we went to visit Gramma and Grampa in Fenelon. All of the family from Grampa’s side were there and we got to meet Isabel. (She is 2 months old now) Mom and Aunt Leila made Simon and I take a bath together. They said “Everyone has the taking a bath with your cousin picture” so here is ours.
Dad and I invented a new game that is SOOO much fun! I ride on his shoulders and he runs around the main floor of our house and we stop to look in the mirror in the front hall. Today when Simon was visiting, Dad gave him a ride too!
Would you believe that Santa was visiting our local Home Hardware today?! Mom and Dad thought it would be a good chance for me to meet Santa in a quieter environment. Simon, Leila, Gramma, Mom, Dad & I walked over to the Home Hardware and got some pictures taken. Just as they predicted, I cried almost right away. In my defense, I would just like to say that it is very strange that parents make their kids sit on the lap of a big, strange, hairy old man that has a loud and jolting laugh just for the sake of a picture.

Making a mess
I am very mobile now. I crawl to wherever I want to go. If there are things to hang onto, I even walk my way over to things too! Mom took a picture yesterday to show how much of a mess I can make all by myself. The mess in the picture was created in one afternoon and I received no help from anybody else!
This picture is of me and my toy dirt devil vaccum. Yes, I am still totally obsessed with vacuum cleaners.
The next two are a couple of funny shots we got when trying to get a Christmas shot of me.

Aquafit
Every Friday Mom and I go to Aquafit. It is exercise class for Mom and play time for me! I get to go in this awesome floaty fish boat and play with toys while Mom does all of her aquafit exercises right beside me! Sometimes I get a little antsy near the end of the 45 minutes but for the most part, I find it really fun! After the exercise we get to move over to the warmer pool for a while to practice our head dunks and swimming. Funny story (though not so funny at the time says Mom): A couple of weeks ago we were in the warm pool and one of the Mom’s yelled “Poo”. The lifeguard went to look and told everyone to get out of the pool. Mom saw the pooh from afar and had a really bad feeling. It was right after I had the flu and, to be detailed, it had the same consistency and colour of what I had been producing that week. A lot of the Mom’s were checking bums as they got out of the pool saying “It’s not mine”. Mom did not do the check until we were behind closed doors in the change room and sure enough - it was me! The moral of the story is not to use cloth swim diapers in a public pool. They are ok for the lake, but the environment is just going to have to suffer for swim time.
Gammie came and watched our Aquafit class last week. Here are some pictures she took!
