Best Christmas Ever
Now I definitely know what all the hype is about. Christmas is the best! You get to visit with all of your family, eat lots of great food (well, I watched everyone eat what appeared to be great food), have fun opening presents and Dad gets to stay home with us for a long time! We started celebrating on Dec 22nd when my Gramma’s side of the family came over. That was neat because the three babies (Claire, Simon and I) were together! We took a family picture.
The next day, Simon, Aunt Leila and Uncle Topher, Gramma and Grampa and Uncle Ryan and Uncle Jeff came over for a turkey dinner. Simon and I dressed up like twins for the day and had fun opening presents and eating snacks together.
This picture is to show that I am now a walking baby. It is my preferred mode of transportation and I can make it across a room and turn around easily without falling. Mom said when I started taking steps that I should learn to walk before Christmas to show everyone. I was just following orders!
Christmas Eve and Christmas morning were quiet with just the three of us. Then we headed to Gammie’s house mid Christmas morning to visit with her side of the family. I had so much fun there, I was not shy at all!
Uncle Colin is funny. But not allowed to babysit me.
I was wearing my first Christmas shirt that says “Best Christmas Ever”. That is certainly true so far

Trevor the cat
Before I was born, my Mom’s Uncle Stephen gave Mom & Dad a DVD called ‘The Cat Sitter’. It is a bunch of images of birds, mice and other things that cats like to watch on a DVD. Mom & Dad decided to play it for Trevor and Boo because they do not get as much attention now that I am around. (I pay tons of attention to Trevor but somehow I don’t think he considers it the same thing.) Trevor LOVES this DVD and so naturally I wanted to watch it too because I like to be wherever Trevor is! It was really neat and it was fun spending time with my buddy Trevor the Cat.
PS - I took 12 unassisted, non falling down steps today!

Playgroup
Every Thursday Mom and I get together with a bunch of other Mom’s and their babies. It is pretty neat because all of us babies are within a few months of each other; some of us a few days! Today we hosted at our house and Mom snapped some pictures of us all playing in the basement. It seems like complete chaos at times, some of us crying, some of us eating and others playing with the toys but it is something we look forward to every week.
And what is a good post without mention of my complete love and obsession with the vacuum?

Big steps
I have hit a couple of milestones in the last week or so. I now wave hello and good bye. (Right now mainly at Dad in the morning when he leaves for work) and I have taken my first couple of steps! I have done it a few times now so Mom believes that it is no longer a fluke or that I am just leaning and ‘falling’ forward. It is hard to get a picture but the two below are some quick steps I took this morning.
I also have a new obsession. (I am still obsessed with the vaccum, phone and remote by the way) There are two kitchen cupboards that have not been locked and I love emptying them! Dad and I now play a game where he puts me in the cupboard after I empty it, closes the door and then we play peek a boo, another favourite of mine.

So this is SNOW!
So this is what people keep talking about - SNOW! I did not really notice it last winter as I was only a baby but now I can see it for sure! Mom and Dad took me for a sleigh ride on the weekend so I could see all of the snow. They had me so bundled up I could barely move. I don’t know where my hands went so I just kept my arms straight out to my side. It was fun!
