Almost one year ago…
Almost one year ago I entered the world. It has been a big year with a whole lot of learning for me and Mom & Dad. Of course there is the regular learning that I have talked a lot about on this blog all year but what about the other very important life skills?
Eating on the run
Self grooming and vanity
Chilling out and relaxing
Humoring Mom and putting up with her kisses
Running and hiding
Stay tuned for pictures from my 1st birthday this weekend!

All things white
Today it was really snowing so Mom decided she would try to shovel the driveway before Dad got home. She bundled me all up and took me on a sled ride to the mailbox first. I did not like that one bit. Mom suspects it was the snow falling in my face because I certainly was not cold! She put me in the stroller after that so I could watch her shovel. I lasted for the sidewalk and two rows of the driveway and then I had enough. It is very frustrating when I have no hands and (to quote Randy from a Christmas Story) “I can’t put my arms down!” She sat me in the snow so I could feel it and then we went inside. I can see snow being a whole lot of fun next winter.
I am now an 8 toothed baby! I sprouted 2 on my bottom row. Can you see them with this up close picture?!

Copy cat
I like to copy the things that big people do.
I like to carry Mom’s purse around even though it is a little bit too heavy and awkward for me.
I like to talk on the phone. They cannot trick me with play phones anymore. It has to be a real phone. And not a real phone that no longer works either. I want to play with the same phone that Mom & Dad use. At swimming lessons there is a red phone hanging on the wall way at the other side of the pool and every week I point to it and want to go over to it.
I like to play the piano. It is nice when Uncle Jeff comes over because he can actually play!
I like the guitar too, and being a part of the crowd.

Blankey
I have a blankey. I love my blankey so much. He comes with me everywhere. The other day Mom went to Fabricland to pick up some more material to make me another back up blankey just in case. It isn’t the exact colour and she is still looking for the tags to go around the sides so I wonder if she will be able to trick me. I am so unpredictable!
Here is a picture of Simon, Blankey and me when I was 4 days old.
Blankey is there even when I eat sometimes!
Of course, he is always there with me when I am sleeping.

Gymboree
Today was great because not only was it a Gymboree day, but Dad is still home from work so he came too! That means lots of pictures to show you! Gymboree is a lot of fun and great for me to practice my walking and climbing. There are padded inclines, slides, rolling logs and various other soft items for me to play with. The best part of Gymboree are the parachute and the bubbles. My teacher Stacey has a magic bubble blower - it blows a million bubbles at a time! I love Gymboree day. I must admit, I am pretty cranky today but I was not cranky at Gymboree!(Except when I caught a glimpse of their vaccum in the other room and kept trying to leave to reach it - Mom finally went and hid it and I forgot about it…. eventually.)
