Celebrating my achievements
Since my first birthday I have been understanding the world around me more and more. I am learning so much and getting better at things everyday. I have started celebrating my achievements by clapping and smiling and, of course, expecting everyone else to do the same. I clap when I eat food that Mom really wants me to eat, I clap when I put something back where I found it, I clap when I stand up on my chair or on the couch (even though I am not supposed to) and I especially clap at Kindermusik.

Technology
It had been mentioned in previous posts that I really love anything to do with technology. I love computers, phones, cables, tv’s and gadgets of any sort. Mom and Dad try to trick me by giving me broken phones and remotes that they no longer use. They think I cannot tell the difference but I can. The other day, however, Mom came home with a computer that works, just for me! I love sitting at my table with my broken phone and real computer taking care of important business.
This is me signing “More computer!”

Sometimes I even get to sit at the table with Mom or Dad while they work on their computers too!

I like to hold my cell phone up really close to my face and then go cross eyed looking at the screen.

Don’t worry, Mom and Dad realize that I need to have other interests and activities that do not involve technology. Now that it is a little bit warmer and I can walk, I get to go outside! I LOVE it! I have my own little shovels that I like to dig in the snow with. This picture is of Dad showing me snowballs.

Easter bunnies
A couple of days ago we had a Mommies and Gramma’s party. Mom’s cousin Kristen and baby Claire and Grandmother Eleanor, Aunt Leila, Simon and Nana Lisa and Gramma came over! We took pictures with Bunny ears on, played with my toys and had some yummy food. I really like having people visit. Today, Gammie came to visit and she played with me all day. We had lots of fun.

Haircut
Today I got my first haircut. It was getting pretty long, hanging in my eyes and over my ears, so Mom and Dad figured it was time. I was such a cooperative boy! The only thing I did not like were the loud scissors she brought out at the end to do the ‘finishing touches’. Jen the hairdresser sure did a great job!

My new house
Mom and Dad made me the coolest playhouse EVER! It is out of big cardboard boxes and I love it. It has a door, 2 windows, a ‘kitchen’ area and a sitting area. The windows over look the rest of the basement and my play area. I think it is pretty neat.

After the ton of snow yesterday, Mom and Dad thought I should get out today and see some of it. For the record, I really do not like the snow or wearing my snowsuit. Maybe next year.

I love computers and electronics. One of my favourite things to do is press the buttons. For some reason, on this computer, you cannot really press the buttons. It was very peculiar indeed.

I am sick
This past weekend Mom finally got up the nerve to go away without me and Dad! She went on an all weekend scrapbooking retreat. What are the chance that it was also a weekend that I got sick? As if Mom wasn’t anxious enough!! I woke up Saturday morning really lethargic. Dad took me to the clinic where I threw up all over the place. The doctor said I had some sort of virus. Gammie, Cassandra and Colin visited that Day too so I traveled around sleeping on them. Thank goodness for that and Blankey. He stayed by my side even after I puked on him and tried to take him into the bathtub with me. I am still a little lethargic but am slowly recovering. This was also the weekend that Mom says she ‘weaned’ me but I don’t know what she is talking about and don’t remember anything different. The only thing different is that they keep trying to get me to take this thing called a bottle and drink this white liquid. What is that about?
