The Zoo
Last week we went to the Toronto Zoo. It was rainy when we arrived but it stopped soon after and only spit here and there for the rest of the day. I think it turned out to be a good thing because not as many people were there so by the end of the day we felt like we had the whole zoo to ourselves! It was really neat to see all of the animals that I have been learning about in books. There was a Kids Zoo within the zoo that was really awesome. It had lots of things at my height and things I could climb in and on. I just loved running around all day and would not let Mom and Dad put me back in the stroller! It was a really fun day. Apparently we are going to a similar place called African Lion Safari later in the summer. I cannot wait.
As always, I love birds and this peacock would not let me get anywhere near him!
Elephants, the subject of one of my favourite books - But No Elephants! I made my very accurate Elephant noise for the video camera for Dad.
Apes. They were a little scary.
Some animals in the zoo live underwater. These Seals were underwater and you could see him swimming by each window and I liked running back and forth trying to catch him. He was so fast.
This was my favourite part of the whole zoo and Mom rolls her eyes when she thinks about it! They were clear vinyl door hangers that kept any animals out of the Kids Zoo. I was running back and forth through them and it was the funniest thing ever.

Camp
This week Dad was at Camp Belwood with the grade 6 students at his school. Mom and I went up on the 2nd day to visit. Camp is a lot of fun. They get to go swimming, do archery, play ball games and they even had a giant Connect 4 board that I enjoyed playing with. I hope I get to go to a camp like this someday.
This is one of Dad’s students helping me colour.
You grade 6’s are hilarious!

Summer!!
It is really hot now and that means I get to play in the water in the backyard. I was a little bit apprehensive at first because hose water is very cold! Did you will notice my huge chest and arm muscles? I am a very strong little boy but those are not my real muscles!! That is my bathing suit that has some floatation stuff in it for when I am in the pool. It also keeps the sun off of me. I am also posting a picture that is not the best shot of my face BUT it does show how good I am at eating with a fork all by myself.

Kissing cousins
This past weekend we went to a family reunion in Brantford. I got to meet all of the family on my Gramma’s Mother’s side of the family. It was lots of fun and my cousins Simon and Claire were there too so that made it even more fun! I was having so much fun with Claire that I gave her a big smootch on the lips, taking her hat off and everything.
