Standing, bathing and meeting Santa
It has been a busy and exciting couple of weeks; a mixed gamut of experiences. Mom & I started going to Gymboree. It is a big room with jungle gym equipment, padded slides and all sorts of fun things specifically for kids aged 0-7 years. The class I was in was the 10-12 month old class. We practiced walking with support, going on the slide by ourselves and exploring in general. It was a lot of fun. I am now able to stand on my own without support for a few seconds. This first picture is me at a playgroup when I was standing on my own for almost 1 whole minute!
Last weekend we went to visit Gramma and Grampa in Fenelon. All of the family from Grampa’s side were there and we got to meet Isabel. (She is 2 months old now) Mom and Aunt Leila made Simon and I take a bath together. They said “Everyone has the taking a bath with your cousin picture” so here is ours.
Dad and I invented a new game that is SOOO much fun! I ride on his shoulders and he runs around the main floor of our house and we stop to look in the mirror in the front hall. Today when Simon was visiting, Dad gave him a ride too!
Would you believe that Santa was visiting our local Home Hardware today?! Mom and Dad thought it would be a good chance for me to meet Santa in a quieter environment. Simon, Leila, Gramma, Mom, Dad & I walked over to the Home Hardware and got some pictures taken. Just as they predicted, I cried almost right away. In my defense, I would just like to say that it is very strange that parents make their kids sit on the lap of a big, strange, hairy old man that has a loud and jolting laugh just for the sake of a picture.

I totally agree with you Hawksley - Santa is a very scary guy when you first meet him, eh? I have pictures I will show you of your daddy meeting Santa for the first time too. He screamed and screamed so loud he scared the other kids. Love you Hawksley.
