What a cutie Simon is!!! I'm so glad you share him with us through the web site.

Leila, your mention of the bittersweet nature of a child reaching milestones resonates as both a mom and grandmother. I keep having deja vu flashbacks as I enjoy the stories and pics and real life experiences of Simon, Hawksley, Avalon and Reese. It feels like it was just yesterday we were going through similar experiences with Jen, Kerry, Christopher and Laura. Now it's a new generation of our babies growing up too fast!!!

One of the great things I find as a grandmother, is that I keep recalling long-forgotten little "big" moments in Jen and Kerry's childhood, triggered by Avalon, Reese, Simon or Hawksley. So I'm getting to re-experience some lost memories of my babies which has been an added treasure to the already joyous experience of grandmotherhood.

Love to all, Holly

Orange is your colour! If you are like Reese, you'll be eating steak before you know it. It seems like just yesterday I was feeding Reese his first meal of mush. Wow, I know the ache you mean.

Heath is not going to grow up due to our upside-down-ed-ness in Australia... aargh, no, it's all lies! He's growing too - every time he closes his eyes for a minute! He's almost as tall as me :(

Looks like Simon warmed to the idea of big-boy foods in the end. Good old orange mush. Chewing is so over-rated; I might make the shift myself :)
