Things that hop, go vroom and taste yum!

We have a backyard bunny again this year. Last year a bunny had babies right in our garden. This year, the bunny is just eating the flowers in the many patches of clovers in our grass.

The first week of July we went to visit Gramma and Grampa because Daddy was renovating the basement. They have new vehicles every time we go but this time, they had new vehicles that I could play with! They have an inflatable car! It is for floating in the water with. I thought it was funny to stick my legs through the holes and walk around pretending I was driving.

The other new vehicle is a John Deere backhoe loader! I will admit that I was not as excited and anxious to drive it as Mom thought I would be but I did give it a little spin. I also filled the loader bucket with pine cones. I will get used to driving it as I get older.

It rained most of the time we were at Gramma and Grampa’s but the last day there it stopped enough for us to go strawberry picking. Yummy! There was a little doggie at the farm that was following me and trying to sniff in my bucket. It was funny.

Maybe I will be a gymnast

I like to set the mattress up in the living room at Gramma and Grampa’s and practice my somersaults and jumps.

Big boy bed

I am on my 2nd night of sleeping in my big boy bed. The first night went really well until I fell out a 5 am. Then I wanted to go back in my crib. I slept in my crib for my nap today and after a long time I finally fell asleep in my big boy bed tonight. (I know, how can I write this if I am asleep? Mommy filled that part in) Mommy is crossing her fingers. Daddy and I took the crib apart tonight so I have no choice now!! We brought my cool desk up and my room is awesome! Superman looks a little funny flying out of a white picked fence but Mommy says someday I am switching to the other room so she never has to paint over it. I am ok with it for now.

Singing

This is a clip of me singing Ally Bally. It is a song Mommy and Daddy sing to me before I go to sleep.

Learning to share

One of the hardest things about being 2 is that people expect you to share. I find this very difficult sometimes. I have to learn to share my toys and other boys and girls are learning to share their toys with me.

Sometimes is takes negotiating or bartering to get what you want:

Sometimes it takes persistence. If you follow somebody long enough they will drop the toy and you can take it and go!

Sharing a snack or meal is easy and fun. As long as I get my own food, I am happy to share a table and a good time with my friends!

I still get my fair share of playing on my own at home so that balances out all of this sharing business. Mommy filled the pool Gammie gave me for my birthday and I love throwing toys in, collecting them all and throwing them all back in again.

Don’t I look cool in my Superman bathing suit? Thank you Aaron and Diana for spotting it in the store!

Butterflies, make up and desks, oh my!

It has been a creative week for me. On Tues, we went to “The Butterfly Place” (Wings of Paradise in Cambridge) with Simon, Leila and Isla. It was fun to run around the paths chasing Simon. We had a picnic lunch before we went home for a sleep.

On Thurs, Mommy and Daddy went to a Spinal Tap concert. Gammie came to take care of me. Because they got home so late, she stayed over. I helped her get ready in the morning by putting on her makeup.

It is garage sale season and Mommy & Daddy love garage saling. Today we found this really cool desk that has a light on it! I wanted Mommy to turn off the basement lights so I could colour by my desk light.

A Walk in the Woods

What a great morning we had! We went out for breakfast and I ate pancakes and played with my Spiderman while Mommy and Daddy finished. After that, we went for a walk in the woods! It was awesome. I got to run as much as I wanted, wherever I wanted! There was so much to see and Mom and Dad took over a million pictures, all of me! At the end of the trail, there was a really big tree cut down in sections. Daddy is so strong. He rolled two of the big logs to the car and now we have them as seats on our deck! They are a great reminder of this fun day.

Puzzle

Yesterday, I did a puzzle almost all by myself! Mom put 3 pieces together to start me off but I managed to find the spots for the rest of the pieces! I still need help pushing them in sometimes but I was really proud of myself. Mom said she was proud of me too. On another note, I had a real, full pee in the potty yesterday!

Summer is almost here!

The weather has really improved. The sun is shining a lot of the time and it is much warmer outside. I ask Mom & Dad to go outside all of the time now, I love just running on the front lawn, sometimes playing with our next door neighbours and sometimes just pretending things. Yesterday we went to a local fair. It was a little but overwhelming but we bought some Cotton Candy which was delicious!

We also went to Toys R Us and bought a really cool trailer for me to ride in. Mommy & Daddy have E-bikes and this trailer attaches to them so we can go to places that are farther away than walking but close enough not to take the car! It is a lot of fun. Mommy says that we have to get a helmet before we go anywhere far though.
